In the spring of 2013, I, along with fellow sociology graduate students and Dr. Jill Esbenshade, conducted a research project about the
working conditions and experiences of taxi drivers. As part of a research team, I surveyed taxi drivers and reviewed existing literature particularly on the policies from across the U.S. aimed at regulating the taxi industry.
We have published this report to bring light to the conditions and problems of the industry, as well as ways to help create change to improve the lives of taxi drivers:
