Conference for, and by, undocumented students about pursuing graduate/law/medical school!

 

 

Screen Shot 2015-06-26 at 11.16.17 AMThe University of California, Merced will be hosting the third UndocuGrads Conference on August 1, 2015!  This conference is tailored to undocumented students who are interested in pursuing advanced degrees including master’s, doctorate’s, law degrees, medical degrees, etc.

Cost: There is NO cost to register for the conference!

DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS SUNDAY, JULY 12th!

Last year’s workshops included topics such as:

  • Preparing for graduate school as an undergraduate
  • Why go to graduate school? Is it for me? Applying and preparing for graduate programs
  • How to be a competitive applicant
  • How to pay for graduate school applications and tuition
  • How to select a mentor (and the benefits of having one)
  • How to write a competitive statement of purpose
  • Health and well-being in graduate school
  • Finding support in graduate school as an undocumented student
  • Organizing in your community before/during grad school
  • Subject-specific Workshops
    • Applying to grad school: Spotlight on higher education, student affairs, counseling, as well as marriage and family therapy programs
    • Applying to law school: Spotlight on law degrees
    • Applying to grad school: Spotlight on science and health-related fields
    • Applying to grad school: Spotlight on social science fields
