Many of us got very little sleep last night (if at all) after becoming increasingly concerned, anxious, and fearful over the election results and its implications. For undocumented immigrants, this election brings forth even more uncertainty. What will happen to DACA? Are DAPA and DACA+ still a possibility? Will my loved ones and I have to face even more anti-immigrant messages? Will I be able to continue working and/or studying in the US?   

Undoubtedly, the election results have very real implications on the everyday lives of undocumented immigrants. Where do we go from here?

We want you to know that it is okay to take some time to heal, process, and reenergize after yesterday’s elections. We also want you to remember that you are not alone. You and your dreams matter. Cosecha, an immigrant rights’ organization, is organizing a Migrant Boycott. United We Dream is facilitating an emergency call tonight.

At My (Un)Documented Life blog, we are ready to continue supporting undocumented immigrants. We will be updating several of our resource pages: scholarships, health, deportations, for educators/counselors, and more. Our associates are ready to expand the information and resources that we feature for undocumented immigrants, particularly in relation to health, high school, community college, and identifying as LGBT.

We are also eager to continue facilitating UndocuGrads Webinars so that we can guide and support more undocumented students in their path towards graduate school. We will also bring you up-to-date information on immigration policies as it all continues to unfold. We will continue to feature events that are happening offline for you to find support and take action. This is just a glimpse of what is to come.
