Job Opportunity: Director at Pre-Health Dreamers

Pre-Health Dreamers (PHD) is a project that supports undocumented young adults in their pursuit of a career in health and science. PHD is currently looking to hire a new director. Note: “The director will be based in California (Northern or California)” and will be responsible for the following: “1) Carry through all PHD related projects and measure impact on the undocumented pre-health student population; 2) Be responsible for development, administrative duties, finances of PHD; 3) Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with PHD student members, educators, stakeholders, and funders/donors; 4) Engage in public relations for PHD-related events, activities, and news.”

Qualifications for this job include:

  • “A bachelor’s or graduate degree related to either the health professions or student support services.
  • Passionate commitment to immigration & education rights with knowledge and/or personal connection to the undocumented student experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an advisor to students at the college level.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in communications with direct experience in developing and implementing successful strategies to raise public awareness and support for social justice causes.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in nonprofit program building and execution.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in nonprofit management.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in nonprofit development (i.e. grant writing, reporting).
  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience in public relations.”
