National Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship Program: Open to undocumented students with DACA

The National Hispanic Health Foundation announced this year’s national scholarship program, which is open to students who are committed to careers in health care and enrolled full-time in dental, medical, nursing, pharmacy, public health, and policy schools.  The Foundation will award 21 scholarships this year.  11 scholars will receive a 2 year scholarship for $5,000 per year.  10 scholars will receive a 1 year scholarship for $2,000.

You do not have to be a U.S. Citizen to qualify for this scholarship.  Under their FAQ, NHHF notes that “U.S. Citizens, permanent lawful residents, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) are eligible to apply“.
