CUNY-IIE’s UndocuEdu team is organizing an all-day conference to disseminate and lift up the experiences, challenges, and needs of aspiring and in-service immigrant educators. The purpose of the conference is to raise awareness about the lived experiences and realities faced by immigrant educators and students, particularly those who are undocumented; the importance and benefits of having immigrant educators; and the impact created by community educators. During the conference, UndocuEdu will aim to focus on the importance and value of how immigrant educators’ experiences bring equitable and quality education to all students.
