From the organizers of the webinar: “California Community Colleges have been and will continue to explore how to meet students’ health and wellness needs. The Chancellor’s Office and the Foundation for California Community Colleges work in partnership with other state agencies on early intervention initiatives, faculty and staff training, suicide prevention, and peer-to-peer programs. The Vision for Success encourages us to provide students with robust and varied support to meet them where they are. For undocumented communities, mental health resources are vital. This webinar will introduce various perspectives and promising practices currently used to respond to undocumented students’ unique mental health needs.”
Speakers include:
Basia Ellis, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Child and Adolescent Development Curriculum Chair, Dreamer Resource Center, California State University Sacramento
Laura Anaya Jurado, Dream Resource Center Adjunct Counselor, Pasadena City College
