Job Opportunity: Work with Undocumented Students at UC Santa Barbara’s Undocumented Student Services (USS) as Assistant Director

The Undocumented Student Services (USS) program at the University of California, Santa Barbara, is currently hiring an Assistant Director who will work directly with undocumented students, and students from mixed-status families. The Assistant Director will in part assist in programming, supervising, and training, as well as co-lead research and evaluation efforts to better understand and address the needs of undocumented, mixed-status, and refugee student populations. The expected pay for this position ranges from $70,000 to $80,000/year.

Here are the required qualifications necessary for this position:

• “Bachelor’s degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
• 1-3 years Full-time relevant experience working confidently with undocumented students and their families in higher education, non-profit, or in a related setting.
• Demonstrated experience providing support and/or resource referral to address a student’s current need(s).
• Experience designing programs and/or curriculum for adult learners, undergraduate or graduate students, and/or professional staff.
• Experience in program management and event planning while practicing and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and writing skills.
• Evidence of potential to foster relationships and work in strong collaboration with students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders.”
