The Point Foundation is currently accepting applications for its annual Community College Scholarship program! This scholarship opportunity offers financial assistance, mentoring, leadership development, and support with the transfer process. Awards range from $2,400 per semester or $4,800 per academic year. This scholarship opportunity is open to undocumented students. In their “Application Tips” section, the Foundation notes: “Point’s application process is open to all college students regardless of citizenship. Undocumented students and international students are eligible to apply if they are enrolling or intending to enroll at an accredited college or university based in the United States.”
Here are the eligibility requirements:
- “Must be enrolled or intending to enroll at an accredited community college in the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska.
- Must have 1-2 years of community college left and either (1) intend to transfer to a bachelor’s degree program at a four-year institution OR (2) graduate with an associates degree within two years.
- Must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credits) throughout the academic year.
- Must be “out” as a person who identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community.”
The deadline to apply is February 8, 2024 at 5:00pm PST / 8:00pm EST
