Immigrants Rising is a non-profit organization based out of San Francisco that provides information, resources, and support to undocumented & DACAmented folks across the country. In recent years, Immigrants Rising has been facilitating “Wellness Support Groups” which provide undocumented & DACAmented folks an opportunity to build community, reflect on their own experiences, and obtain support from peers and a mental health professional who leads the group. Support groups are held virtually and are free of charge. Each group meets once a week for 6 consecutive weeks. The sessions are typically 1 hour long. Please note that each session centers around a specific theme such as “coping with uncertainty,” “undoculove,” and more.
Wellness groups are open to folks who meet the following eligibility requirements:
- “You are undocumented.
- You are 18 or older.
- You reside anywhere in the U.S.
-
Note: CA students in higher education* will be given priority. *This includes any of the University of California (UC), California State University (CSU), California Community Colleges (CCC) campuses, and private colleges and universities located in California.
-
- You feel comfortable conversing in English.
- You have a tool to join virtual meetings (phone, laptop, etc.).
- You meet the additional requirements depending on the intended population (for example, UndocuLatinx, UndocuAPI, Black & Undocumented, etc.).”
Please note that space is limited and so it is key to register early. To learn more about Immigrants Rising’s wellness support groups and to register, please visit their official website: March 2025 Wellness Support Groups
