An Overview of Path2Papers: A Trusted Legal Resource for Undocumented Young Adults and Employers

Path2Papers is a program based out of the Law School at Cornell University, which seeks to help eligible undocumented young adults “pursue work visas and other pathways to legal permanent residency.” As part of this program, eligible individuals receive a free consultation where they can learn more about their specific immigration legalization options “with an emphasis on employment-based visas and strategies for those who have re-entered the United States on a non-immigrant visa.” The program is available to “Dreamers”, as defined on their website, which “includes individuals who entered the United States before their 18th birthday, arrived prior to 2021, and have graduated from high school in the United States.”

Please note that priority is given to individuals who either reside in the San Francisco Bay Area or have a connection with Cornell University. However, individuals who meet Path2Papers’ definition of Dreamers are still encouraged to submit an interest form, regardless of their location within the United States. Their cases will be considered if capacity permits.

To learn more about this project, and fill out an interest form, please visit their official website: Path2Papers at Cornell Law School. You can also learn about the project’s recent success stories, including that of Carlos who is an H1-B visa applicant and Sung whose green card application was sponsored by his employer.
