“University of Utah student is being held at Colorado immigration detention center” (The Salt Lake Tribune) – “A 19-year-old University of Utah student was detained by immigration agents last week while traveling in Colorado and is now being held at an immigration center there.”

“Families arrested in LA ICE raids held in basements with little food or water, lawyers say” (The Guardian) – “As federal agents rushed to arrest immigrants across Los Angeles, they confined detainees – including families with small children – in a stuffy office basement for days without sufficient food and water, according to immigration lawyers.”
“Florida child welfare agency calls ICE on teen migrant in foster care, sparking criticism” (Miami Herald) – “Florida child welfare authorities turned over a 17-year-old foster child to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, sparking intense criticism that the action could hinder efforts to protect children in the state’s large immigrant communities.”
“Immigration raid at Omaha meat production plant leaves company officials bewildered” (Politico) – ” Immigration authorities raided an Omaha meat production plant Tuesday morning and took dozens of workers away in buses, leaving company officials bewildered because they said they had followed the law.”
“Jesús polished luxury vehicles at an LA car wash for years. Then ICE showed up” (BBC) – “When US immigration agents pulled up outside a Los Angeles car wash on a quiet Sunday afternoon, it sparked instant chaos.”
