Becas Univision 2015 scholarships!

Univision is offering 34 scholarships ($5,000 each) to students in high school, transferring from community college, and current college students.

Deadlines
Priority Consideration I: Application due January 31st Recommendation due January 31st
Priority Consideration II: Application due February 28th Recommendation due February 28th
General Scholarship Deadline: Application due March 30th Recommendation due April 30th
Requirements: 
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students, community college transfers and current college students
  • Be of Hispanic heritage
  • Must be 1st Generation to attend college (neither your mother nor your father has attended college)
  • Demonstrate financial need. This is determined based on your family income, number of people that reside in your household and the number of college students in your home.

  1. Being a resident in the state of Missouri has left me with little to not help in attending college. I am not eligible to obtain in-state tuition as well as federal aid. Many scholarships also require me to be a U.S citizen or live in a specific state. I believe that I am a brilliant student that is obtain to obtain the same advantages than those who are U.S citizen.

Es muy triste ver a tantas personas que tienen deseos de superarse mas sin embargo es casi imposible hacerlo sin documentos. mi esposo es uno de ellos, recien graduado de High School con casi 4.0 de GPA y con una mente brillante, trabajador del campo y hombre honesto y luchador. Al igual que el existen tantos que no pueden realizar sus sueno por falta de recursos.Espero poder encontrar una forma de apoyar a mi esposo ya sea buscando programas y compartiendo su historia.

Veo con tristeza y frustración q no hay becas disponibles para adultos indocumentados…..en mi caso, soy madre sola, con 7 hijos, mi deseo más grande es continuar estudiando x mi y x mis hijos, obtuve mi ged. Y aunq hay aquí el sistema univ. Ana G. Méndez y podría empezar con los básicos y después Tomar clases para
    finanzas, el costo aunq muy accesible es imposible para mi debido a mi condición económica pues tengo q proveer para mis hijos y posponer mi anhelo de continuar estudiando.
