The Salvadoran American Leadership & Educational Fund (SALEF) recently announced this year’s scholarship opportunity, which is open to undocumented high school, college, and graduate students in Los Angeles County, California. Note: “The scholarship is open to all qualifying students regardless of immigration status.”
Here are the eligibility requirements:
- “Be of Salvadoran or of other Latin American ethnicity.
- Demonstrate a commitment to community involvement.
- Demonstrate proven financial need.
- Possess a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Demonstrate status as a full-time student in their program as either an: incoming/ current undergraduate, graduate, medical, MPH, MD, or Dentistry students.
Community college students.
Vocational/trade school students. - Be pursuing one of the following: an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree , master’s degree, J.D. or Ph.D.
- Live or finishing up high school in the city of Los Angeles.”
The deadline to apply is July 3, 2020 by 11:59pm PST
