The Dreamer Resource Center at Sacramento State is hosting their 7th annual “Keeping the Dream Alive Virtual Conference”. The conference brings together educators, practitioners, and students to discuss the lived experiences of undocumented and mixed-status family students, as well as key resources and practices to support them. The conference organizers are currently accepting proposals for presentations, panels, workshops, trainings, or roundtable discussions. This includes those that are centered around the following key questions:

“A) What does UndocuDiversity look like on our campuses? What key differences do we see in students’ identities, experiences, social positions, trajectories, goals, life stages, needs, and assets? 

B) What institutional policies and practices are needed to effectively support and empower diverse students impacted by undocumented status?  

C) Who is forgotten in dialogues and support systems directed at undocumented and mixed-status family students?  

D) What inter-institutional and inter-state dialogues can we foster at the conference to expand our collective capacity to support students impacted by undocumented status? 

E) We welcome sessions with students from various backgrounds and varying life stages who can share how they navigate(d) the challenges of undocumented status.”

The submission deadline is Friday, January 27, 2023, at 11:59 pm PST.
