Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois Scholarship: Open to undocumented students with DACA

logo.pngGolden Apple is a non-profit organization that works to inspire, develop and support teacher excellence in Illinois, especially in schools of need. This month, the organization announced that their scholarship program is now open to undocumented students who have DACA.

The Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois Scholarship Program seeks to identify talented high school seniors, as well as first and second-year college students who have the promise and drive to be excellent teachers in high-need schools.

This scholarship program offers the following:

  • Tuition support, up to $23,000
  • Paid Summer Institutes that include courses and extensive classroom/work experience
  • Academic support Job placement assistance
  • Ongoing mentoring from award-winning teachers throughout college and during the early years of teaching.

The deadline to apply is January 8, 2016
