The Geneseo Migrant Center provides services to migrant farmworkers. Each year, they award scholarships of $1,000 each to migrant students who are pursuing a college education. This scholarship opportunity is in honor of Frank Karmierczak, who was a long time migrant educator.
Here are the eligibility requirements:
- Child of a migrant worker or a migrant worker (priority will be given to those with mobility in the last 3 years)
- Teaching as a career goal
- Scholastic achievement
- Financial need
The deadline to apply is on February 1, 2016
