Student Education and Leadership Fund Scholarship: Open to undocumented students

The Student Education and Leadership Fund (SELF) is committed to giving back to the community by providing financial assistance to students who are planning to enroll in post-secondary programs of study.  They are now accepting applications for the 2016–2017 award cycle.  And will be awarding at least one scholarship worth a minimum of $6,000.  This scholarship opportunity is open to undocumented students.

Here are the eligibility requirements:

  • live in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia

  • will have graduated from high school by July 1, 2017

  • plan to enroll in a post-secondary educational program for 2017

  • have overcome a significant challenge

  • plan to use post-secondary education to have a lasting impact on your community

The deadline to apply is December 31, 2016
