Job Opportunity: Dream Center Director at the University of Utah

The office for Equity Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Utah is currently hiring a Dream Center Director who will provide resources, support, and professional development opportunities to undocumented students. The Director will also be responsible for the following tasks: “Directs the development and implementation of indicators that are comprehensive, appropriate, and consistent with the University of Utah’s goals and objectives through enhancement of the exceptional student experience; Interprets, implements, and provides training to University of Utah faculty and staff on supports, resources, and local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to undocumented students and residency; Supports University Advancement in grant applications and fundraising efforts.”

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • “Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related area, or equivalency (1 year of college education is equivalent to 2 years of related work experience); eight years of progressively more responsible management experience; and demonstrated leadership, human relations and effective communications skills required.
  • Experience working with undocumented, DACAmented, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), and newly arrived individuals
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws impacting undocumented, DACAmented, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), and newly arrived individuals
  • Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.”
