AB 60: Driver’s Licenses for Undocumented Immigrants in California

The California state law, AB 60, which went into effect in 2015, makes it possible for eligible undocumented individuals to obtain a drivers license. From California’s Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)’s website: “AB 60 driver’s licenses (DL) are for individuals [in California] who are unable to provide proof of legal presence in the United States (U.S.), but who meet California DMV requirements and are able to provide proof of identity and California residency.”

For more information to see if you are eligible and to apply for a driver’s license with AB 60, visit this webpage.
